My shoulders are burned!
This whole 'gardening' lark is really getting into full swing. My mum and me spent an hour chopping a big bush down that was choking some other plants. We managed to fill the bin with it, as you see here:
And this is what we were left with, after finding a flowering raspberry, a plant that 'has pink flowers on it' and 'something that grandma gave me' according to my mother.

We have some nice flowers in the garden at the moment. Bluebells and peonies.
Ben is starting to not like the heat so much. I don't think he quite knows what to do with himself - he just keeps wandering around and flopping down in the shade. He spent three hours with a daisychain around his neck today, until John started chasing him with the hosepipe and he ran inside and shook it off. Speaking of the hosepipe, after about ten years of mum saying 'I wish we had an outside tap', we finally have one! Isn't it so shiny...

“What have I told you about coming into my house without permission?” Arthur said, one eyebrow raised as his brother grinned up at him and half rolled out of the chair, coming to his feet, eye-to-eye with the Englishman.
And... that's all, for now.
