Being able to characterise properly is part of being able to write well. If it reads well but the characters are shit that's like dipping sewage in chocolate and saying it looks nice. It doesn't matter what it looks like. It's still shit.

I WOULD LIKE HIM TO DIE IN A FIRE. Or to kill himself like he keeps threatening to do between going all gooey with thoughts of marriage and babies with Hungary. EUGH.
