Pft, random drawing + previews
Okay, so I was talking to
ithronluin about how things are so much cheaper in Malaysia than they are here in England. This led to my having a random one-shot idea in which Malaysia visits the UK, and finds everything so expensive that Arthur takes her out for lunch/dinner/some kind of meal. I figure they'd be on good terms, with Malaysia once being a country occupied by Britain and still part of the Commonwealth. I just need a reason for her to be in London.
Anyway, I'm digressing. On the back of this I ended up coming up with an appearance and a name for Malaysia. For some reason I couldn't help but imagine her as female, and then I drew her.
I made a vague attempt to mimic the comic style which I think I sort of managed. I think she's kind of cute. Through mine and ithronluin's conversation I decided that she would most likely be a polyglot, and most likely very strong-minded. I figure she'd be quite fond of Arthur since from what I read the Malaysian people asked for the help of the British Empire in solving a lot of their internal disputes before their independence.
So, here we have it.
Malaysia
Nation: Malaysia
'Human' Name: Mahsuri
Birthday: September 16th
Personality: Friendly, cheerful. Has gained a lot of confidence in recent years thanks to expansions in trade and is very proud of her country. She can be rather conservative about certain things, but the diversity in her culture means that she can accept things, even if she doesn't like/approve of them. Her relations with Singapore are tense though they were once one country, and she doesn't see eye to eye with Israel.
The flower in her hair is a hibiscus (the national flower of Malaysia), and represents Kuala Lumpur.
Moving on!
I have been working on a one-shot fic between Poland and Lithuania, set in 1940. I chose this year because it was the closest I could get to the beginning of the second world war and have Lithuania be able to get to Poland easily (before 1940 he was still living with America). I don't know what's so fun about beating Poland up, but it's really, really fun.
He found him, his clothes in tatters and stained with blood, hiding behind an overturned sofa. The Pole had his head buried in his arms, his knees drawn tightly to his chest, his body shaking. He jolted violently when Toris touched his arm, letting out a whimper and scooting backwards until he was firmly wedged between the wall and the sofa. When Toris murmured his name he clapped his hands over his head and mumbled something in broken Polish that the taller man didn’t quite catch. Toris crouched, and tentatively, his fingers brushed against Feliks’. Slowly, Feliks lifted his head, and Toris almost recoiled.
“Dieve mano! Feliks, oh, Feliks, what did that German pavainikis do to you?!”
And then!
I've also been writing From Fire to Flame, so I have a little more of that to show you, just to whet your appetites..
“Arthur?” The Englishman glanced over his shoulder, and held out his free hand to beckon Alfred into the room. “He’s getting sick again, huh...”
“Mm...” Arthur pressed the backs of his fingers gently to Ivan’s forehead, frowning at the temperature. He smoothed the bed sheets absently, leaning his head lightly against Alfred’s arm, and he glanced up, finding a concerned, thoughtful frown on the American’s face. He still had to get used to seeing that expression. “I don’t like it, Alfred... it seems as if he gets sicker and sicker every time.”
“You know he doesn’t, babe,” Alfred told him, moving to wrap his arm around Arthur and pulling the smaller man gently against his side. “I told you not to get so attached to the kid.”
“How could I not? Look at him...”
I also love to torture Ivan, because he's too cute when he's sick and helpless. ^_~

LOL YOU SADIST!!! YOU TOTALLY ARE! What kind of person say such thing?! xDDDD
“I told you not to get so attached to the kid.” - I can't imagine Alfred saying that o.o I did be sure he would be the one more attached to Ivan than Arthur would be? Or that both of them would be equal attached to Ivan. Having Alfred saying that is as if he doesn't love Ivan as much as we though he would be ;A;
I'm login msn to bug you!

Torturing characters is fun...
There is also a reason for him saying that -3- He doesn't want Arthur to be hurt if the worst happens. It's a delicate balance.
Oooh yay 8D
