Did you miss me? :3
Ramblings and pics to follow. Watch this space~
On Friday I got the flight over with no problems, except Alison was late so I spent ten minutes worried by myself in Dublin Airport before she appeared. I met her mum and some of her family before they went away to Cork, and they were super nice~ Her dog is awesome too and she has such a pretty house owo
We ate lunch then I had a quick run down of stuff I needed to know in case bad things happened, which weren't likely to happen but I still needed to know just in case. Chatted a while before dinner, then watched a film and talked some more. The room I was in was nice if a bit sparse and sleeping in a single bed felt weird. It seemed very quiet that night and I got a little bit homesick, missing my mum (yes, you can d'aw).
We went to Bray on Saturday, and met Alison's friend Craig and his girlfriend Caroline. Craig was very nice - reminded me a lot of Jasper. We went into the arcade and Alison won €15 on one of the coin machines~! I was impressed. I love the buses in Ireland - they're so efficient and far cheaper than ours. My God. Bray has a McDonalds in the old town hall and I've never seen one like it. Lovely beach, too, where I found that yes I can still skip stones. Yays~
So we headed back to Dublin at five or so and met Julie AKA kitten-chan of dA and she is so freaking lovely and taught me thiiiiings >w< Uwah~ Alison went to bed around two and Julie and I at five. Somehow Julie was up before me though I can't say I was surprised xD
Sunday we just hung around. I started to get the feeling I was being annoying but they were too nice to tell me. I have the feeling that Julie would tell me... Note: Work on being less annoying.
We were supposed to go to Trim on Monday but Ali wasn't feeling so well. I was kinda disappointed but it can't be helped and it's not like I was going to hold it against her. Had a nice day in any case. Julie went home and me and Ali watched Jurassic Park. I like that film more than I used to. Ali went to bed early and it felt kinda weird to be in the front room by myself...
Spent the day at Julie's on Tuesday. She has a nice place, and her housemates are pretty great. We had pizza - I have had so much junk food this week it's unbelievable. Sent
colourbine a postcard like I promised, though I don't know when it'll reach her. Hope I have my package from
amael_elen when I get home. I miss her like crazy.
Also lost my angel pendant.. Can't find it here and it's not at Julie's either.. I'm miffed but not too much so - gonna have a better one from Alexa when I get home anyway.
I really started to like it in Ireland. It seemed that I was on the same wavelength with everyone (to the point of thinking the same thing at the same time). I'm pretty sure we watched a film on Tuesday when we got back but I don't remember what it was.
On Wednesday we went into Dublin so I could have a proper look around and do my tourist thing. Saw Trinity College (cute guide omg), the castle, some pretty churches - Ireland has a lot of churches, it seems - though somehow we got lost trying to find St. Pat's! No idea how since it seems the thing is absolutely huge. Alison and I decided it had sunk into the ground because we could not find it.
Poor Ali was suffering with hayfever all day and didn't have anything for it. She was still sneezing when she went to bed.
And argh! I dropped my camera on the marble kitchen floor! Thank hell it only took a chip out of the lens cap. I am way too lucky with machines.
Got Julie a birthday present. Hope that's not weird since I haven't known her that long. Of all things to happen I didn't expect a birthday thing while I was in Ireland but hey I'm not complaining.
Finally, on Thursday, it was Julie's birthday. On the way to the city a tyre blew out on an eight-wheeler in front of the bus. Smoke everywhere and it sounded like a bomb going off. Never seen anything like it! It scared the life out of us xD Once we got to Dublin Ali had us both running about like blue-arsed flies getting a cake and candles then getting them to Eddie Rocket's. Oh God, the food there was awesome. Pity that it seems to be far more popular in Ireland and the closest one to me I could find was in Liverpool ;-; My burger had a teeny American flag in it! >w< All of Alison's friends are great. I seemed to hit it off with one in particular - he was just a really awesome guy who told me stuff about Dublin and looked after me in the cinema. Sweetheart.
We saw Predators. I wasn't blown away but it was an alright film. What's important is that Julie enjoyed her day =)
And on Friday I came home to find that mum had almost cried when I walked off into Departures. Bless 'er. xD
Now, photos!
