Almost half way through the usxuk event and still going strong! Honestly I didn't know if I'd be able to continue it and granted I have had one late entry but haro is made of awesome and I managed to slip by JUST THIS ONCE. Not that I wouldn't have posted it anyway because for some reason I'm insane and am doing a chapter fic in the middle of a community event. Well, if nothing else it'll make me keep at it.

Aside from that, I still have the two aph_fluffathon fics to write, which I don't see as being a problem in the least though neither of them are USxUK. I do keep saying I want to branch out (then I go and write 28 USxUK fics. I MAKE SO MUCH SENSE).

It's always nice to realise that the people you look up and admire to are real people too. I've been in touch with Scott Sava (writer and artist of The Dreamland Chronicles) and his wife Donna for over a year without it ever really occurring to me that Scott is rather famous in his line of work, and I just spent half an hour talking to Adriana Blake (Fall On Me) about tea of all things. Which then resulted in my getting a cup of Baroness Grey and immediately burning my mouth on it. I don't know why but people like that (admittedly I thought the same of haro and abarero before I first started chatting to the former) always seem to be something 'other', but I've experienced it with people that have added me to msn from Livejournal, when they see me as someone special and such until they realise I'm actually just like anyone else xD It's funny, isn't it.

My fish are still alive and the tank is quite easy to clean so that's alright. They both seem quite lively.

I have JUST NOW seen the new photo for the dwarves Fili and Kili in the upcoming film of The Hobbit, and I am suddenly very excited.



... Look at them. LOOK AT THEM. I AM SO EXCITED I CAN'T EVEN.

There's also Dori, Nori and Ori, and Oin and Gloin.



Not too sure about Dori's hair =P I can't wait to see the others!

Aha. It's always odd to think that people, no matter how much we might look up to them, are all normal. I know I learned that early on back in my first fandom. We chatted with the creator/voice actors quite often and especially the lead female VA and us ladies were all very similar. It's a small world after all :)

(also, I know we haven't chatted much, but I promise I am normal. I'm just a bit of a recluse due to being a vampire (non-sparkly type, I assure you) :D)

ALSO. OMG HOBBIT ERA DWARVES. EEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I'm so excited for this movie~ <3

Ehehe I'm a bit of a vampire myself :B I don't seem to see that much of Kelly since she tends to come online at oh-god-what-is-this o' clock but when we do speak she's so NICE.

Hm. Sadly, I don't think I can agree myself to that. You're a writer yourself; you can easily interact with other artists because you have a language of your own, something you can bond over. Regular, uninteresting folks like me can't aim that high...I've found it's almost a waste of time and unnecessary headaches to admire someone and to want to have some contact with it. There's an unbreakable wall you can't get through, and the more you know that person, the bigger the wall gets. No matter what do you do, you can never look to that person's eyes and that person will never look down to you (unless it's to thank your comments to their work, lol). We're just...not up to it.
After having realized this, I don't think the existence of this wall bothers me as much as it once did, though.

Hmm I never thought of it like that. I mean.. we were talking about tea. Also, they don't know I'm any kind of artist. As far as they know I'm just one of many fans yet they take the time to speak to me and I think that goes a long way to showing how down-to-earth they are. There are few things more annoying than someone who thinks they're 'all that' just because they have an internet fanbase. Each to their own opinion though, I suppose.

But augh I know. I am seriously a little bit in love with Kili. He (Aiden Turner) plays a vampire in a TV series that I like.

Baroness Grey! I did not know there was such a thing O= (only know Earl and Lady, which I don't like much, but...) so what's it like?

But yes! I know what you mean, and on both ends. There's people I'd love to talk to/add that I am absolutely terrified of (mostly, I don't want to annoy them haha), while on the other hand, everyone who tells me they're intimidated by me, I go all 'nooooooo be my frieeeeend ;3; *grabby hands* at them. Talk about a hypocrite haha.

It's like Earl Grey only a bit more fragrant, with lemon and orange. It's a little bit tart but it's really nice.
