....there's a few reasons why your laptop does the clicking sound. Its either:
a) your hdd is acting up. b) your dvd rom is starting to go bonkers c) your laptop is just overheating (get a laptop cooler)
problem is, it BSOD DX. Overheat is an instant shut down. You might want to back up your data just in case. (I'll assume your laptop is over 2 years old, it'll start to go crazy after 2 years old >:)
