My shoulders are burned!

This whole 'gardening' lark is really getting into full swing. My mum and me spent an hour chopping a big bush down that was choking some other plants. We managed to fill the bin with it, as you see here:

And this is what we were left with, after finding a flowering raspberry, a plant that 'has pink flowers on it' and 'something that grandma gave me' according to my mother.

I'm hoping things start to grow quickly 'cause that garage is really, really ugly. =|

We have some nice flowers in the garden at the moment. Bluebells and peonies.

Ben is starting to not like the heat so much. I don't think he quite knows what to do with himself - he just keeps wandering around and flopping down in the shade. He spent three hours with a daisychain around his neck today, until John started chasing him with the hosepipe and he ran inside and shook it off. Speaking of the hosepipe, after about ten years of mum saying 'I wish we had an outside tap', we finally have one!

Isn't it so shiny...

Moving on! I've actually been cool enough to start writing today, so here is the beginning of the third chapter of From Fire to Flame for your perusal.

“Aah, man, being a nation is hard.” Peter leaned back in his chair and stretched, tilting his head back to look up as a hand fell on his shoulder.

“What have I told you about coming into my house without permission?” Arthur said, one eyebrow raised as his brother grinned up at him and half rolled out of the chair, coming to his feet, eye-to-eye with the Englishman.

And... that's all, for now.

It was only when I checked back that I actually noticed how many 'gardening posts' there have been lately.. Haha.

I guess if the chillis come in nicely you can always sell them..? Maybe? D:

Uh, yeah, preview.. I haven't actually written it yet. -fails-
