Why is having fun so expensive ;3; All I want to do is go to London and have some fun cosplaying and it's costing me the earth. Oh well, we must suffer for our fandoms... here's the breakdown...

Costume:

Outfit: £72
Boots: £29
Wig:  £30
Chest binding (ouchies): £17
Contact lenses:  £10 (approx)

TOTAL: £158 (approx)

If anyone knows where I could find any of those kinds of things cheaper I'd be very grateful for the info ;o;

Then, we have...

Hotel: £50
Coach: £15
Underground: £15
Food: £20

TOTAL: £100


Then add on top of that any extras like things I might buy at Expo and so on and so forth and man I wish I could make costumes myself but hey, it's going to be awesome anyway |=

I can't really help. I spent over five hundred dollars on my redcoat!England costume. Granted, it's worth it, because the quality is amazing (had it commissioned) and it's super accurate, but... yeah. That's what you're doing, right?

It's not cheap for a costume like that. :( :(

Awww dude I share your pain. I would totally cosplay if it weren't for the cost especially if you're picky like me and want some totally awesome costumes.

All I can say is that I hope you enjoy it. I mean its worth it if it makes it up with fun, right?

Ohhhhhh wow, all of that is around $390CAN.

I usually only spend about $50 for everything for my cosplays a year. Granted I(I as in my sister) make the cosplays.
