And with that out of the way...

I graduated, as you saw. I also managed not to fall over on the stage - quite proud of that one but I suppose if I had I could have sent the video to You've Been Framed and got £250 for it. That would have covered my gown hire and tickets with a bit left over. I am, however, rather glad that I didn't fall, because I would rather have my dignity than £250.
The day after, I had to get up stupidly early to get the bus into the city (which took about an hour) then Kelly and I walked up to the train station and got some breakfast, got on the train and shot off down to London. It took us just over two hours to get there - I love direct trains - and then we got ourselves a little lost in the underground before we found our hotel, thankfully the same one we had been in when we went to see Miyavi so we knew where we were going. Kelly straightened my hair and it actually stayed straight, and we went on out at around half two to go and meet our friend Anita who had been queuing up since 10am (bearing in mind that the doors only opened at 6.30pm). We brought food and stuff!
So we sat, and we waited.. and waited.. until half past six when the doors finally opened and we went in. Oddly, we actually ended up in the same place as we had done for Miyavi, and it was yet another hour and a half before the band came out. I tell you what, these Japanese stars certainly like to make their fans wait.
But hnnnnnnn Gackt is one good looking guy. They had a platform on the stage so I could see right down to his shoes, and.. hnnnnn. You and Yukihiro are pretty nice eye-candy, too...
YOU AND GACKT FANSERVICE PICS AHOY (no, I did not take these, but GOD I wish I had)

Uff. I cannot believe they are both thirty-seven.
Nor can I believe that Yukihiro is FIFTY.
I wanted to take him home with me! XD
Anyways, so I got really into all the jumping and screaming and general fangirlery, despite not knowing any of the songs and yes I did scream my head off when he took off his shirt (and spent the rest of the concert without it with sweat dripping off him.. ffffff..). After they finished some people were throwing stuff up onto the stage, and one of those things was a Union Jack. Yukihiro and You picked it up, and it was upside-down, so they turned it over, and it was backwards, then they tried again.. and all the while Gackt was stood there with this 'I love these guys, but they're fricken idiots' look on his face, until finally they realised they had the wrong sides and swapped, and held it up, to more screaming.
Then he promised to come back. O3O
And then draped the flag around his shoulderssssss...
Hnnn...
I still think Miyavi is prettier. But Gackt is very handsome... o3o
Ah yeah.. At the end, You was throwing guitar picks into the audience. Kelly caught one, and the next flew over my head and landed behind me, so I turned, and looked down.. and put my foot on it! 8D
So these two people are pulling at my foot, and I crouched and said "You're joking if you think I'm lifting my foot off this" then I picked it up myself. A girl I'd met there turns to me, and she squeals at me that she'll buy it from me, so I take her hands, and I push the pick into her hand, and she just stares at me with these big eyes, biting her lip like she's about to burst into tears, then she was jumping and squealing and hugging me again while You sprayed water all over us xDD
Then he did his encore, and it finished, and we left. Kelly got rather annoyed because the merch people had to stop selling before she got to them, which is kinda weird but I guess they have rules and that.. but still they should be aware that everyone is going to want stuff.
We went back to the hotel with a Dutch girl Kelly had met who was staying in the hostel next door, and she came up for a drink and a chat then went off to sleep 'cause she had a 5.30 flight back to Holland. There were some super-annoying people running about screaming in the corridors until I got annoyed enough to go and tell them off, and then I went to sleep.
Came back on the Saturday, and while waiting around in the train station we found an American 50's style diner which looked a lot like Eddie Rockets, so we had a burger and then went across to where I'd spotted a sushi place and got some sushi~ I ended up taking the sushi home with me because we were too full from the burgers to eat it on the train.
Yesterday and today have been spent doing nothing. Today had been spent in pain because although my body had the good grace not to inflict the Curse on me while I was in London, it seems to be punishing me for the wait.
It's raining.
I love England.

Date: 2010-07-19 04:30 pm (UTC)I think it's hard for most to believe that they're that old--not that thirty seven is particularly old or anything, but comparatively.. you know.Though in the most recent pictures I've seen, you can see some wrinkles appearing on dear Gackt's face~ 8D
Whenever he comes back to London, I shall be there. Mark my words. Mark them!
Mmmm, burgers~ - w -
I love England more. >|
