I've been gardening today >w<
Mostly watching my mum replant seedlings while grossing out with her over the fact that some weird green stuff had grown all over the soil. Kind of like the green mould that you get on the side of fish tanks if you don't clean them out enough.

lemiru sent over for me, and hopefully they'll grow since I keep finding conflicting information over what soil they need, when to grow them, how much light they need to grow... Gar.
Well, here they are at the moment.
Nice and snug in a slightly shadowed slightly lit corner of the dining room where it shouldn't get too cold or too hot. They're going to end up growing in clumps because the seeds are so damn small it's impossible to separate them >.<; Fingers crossed >w<
While mum was replanting, I noticed a very sad looking prickly thing in a pot. Apparently it's a Scots Pine (Christmas tree!) but I couldn't tell with how small it is. The soil was covered in moss and weird little plants and a spikey sort of brown thing that looked dead. I went and grabbed a bag from inside and ended up removing almost all the topsoil, about an inch deep, which was just full of roots. I then named the plant Bob (to which my mum said 'Don't get attached because if it dies you'll be upset', and I lol'd) and put some fresh compost on top to replace what I'd taken. I also found a couple of little wild plants in another pot and transplanted them with the tree. I have a feeling they'll probably die - since they're wildflowers and I had to more drag than dig them up, but for now Bob isn't by himself.

It was after some debate with my mother (who was absolutely certain that the little purple things were campanulas) that I figured out they are in fact a kind of wild viola called Viola Sororia. Hope they live~ ^^;
