Aleksander's eyes were fixed on his book but he could feel the tall Swedish boy's gaze on his back, making his skin itch in a way that was not entirely uncomfortable. He didn't dare turn around, not wanting to draw attention to the fact that he'd noticed. It was a wonder the air between them hadn't combusted with the tension, and it was only a matter of time before one of them gave in.
"Don't you think we're a little too close?" said Arthur as they watched the solar flares arcing off the dying star only a few hundred thousand kilometres away. Alfred shrugged, and the older man knew that he wasn't really listening, just responding in a way that he hoped would be correct. Smiling, Arthur laced his fingers through the American's, feeling the twitch of surprise that ran through him, and then the responding faint pressure against his hand.
"Get that thing out of my face while I'm trying to work!" Arthur snapped, waving the irritating junior keeper away from him as he closed the door of the freezer.
"Don't you want to pet it?"
Looking up, Arthur glared at the younger man, who grinned inanely back at him, before turning on his heel and walking away, the python still wrapped around his shoulders.
Omg! I have a new favourite AU setting. Haha! ♥ I don't even know where that setting came from....I've been watching a lot of programmes on pandas lately, I'll blame that!
There was only ever one time that the two schools would mix - once a year at the annual dance, and it was always a mess, as if someone had taken all of the wallflowers of the world and put them in the same room. Raivis could feel his hands shaking as he walked across the floor, all eyes on him and his steps almost seeming to echo over the sound of the music. He held out his hand to the green-eyed girl that he had been watching for the past hour, and after an agonising hesitation, she took it.
( Fff.. okay, well, this is an excuse to write my favourite crack pairing - Ireland/North Korea. Although I did have to look up what the heck 'space opera' is, kinda hard to put into three sentences |: )
He couldn't take his eyes off the ambassador's red hair as he walked through the airlock doors and onto the outer ring of the space station. There was something about him, something wild and entirely untamed that Hyun-Su found himself drawn to, yet at the same time he shied from it. Difference wasn't something that he was usually so taken by, but this time he would be able to make an exception.
