I've rediscovered my love for fish finger sandwiches recently, only to be greeted with a chorus of 'fish finger.. sandwiches?' from Americans and Europeans alike. So, because I'm terribly bored and get weird ideas when I haven't slept, I feel the need to educate.

First of all, you have your fish fingers (also known as fish sticks):

Om nom nom. Now, we grill them. Five should be enough for one sandwich.

They take about ten minutes to grill so you can do other things while that's going on, like buttering the bread, or making a brew...

(I freakin' love that cup.)

When the fish fingers are done, it's time to put them on the bread~

You can add sauce if you like, at this point. Personally, I don't, but whatever floats your boat. I would also recommend you cut it in half, if only because the heat will soak through the bread and it might be awkward to hold it if you don't.

Then, enjoy~! I know I did! =D

(Benny likes fish finger sandwiches, too.)

Well, margarine, actually...

You don't have to have it... it's just personal preference...

But... Butter!!! It's like having buttered eggs, it does not compute!

Though I WILL try this out eventually. I have a few fishfingers left over. I'll just use... tartare sauce or something equally unhealthy.

I still love you though. Butter and all. <3

Buttered eggs? That's just weird...

Do you not normally put butter on your sandwiches? o.o

It's usually mayo or ketchup...or mustard. Butter is strange to put on meat I think. It's like...not tasty enough or something. It goes well on toast and between toast and jam...even on pancakes...but in a sandwich? That's weird.

haha

Huh. It's pretty much a given over here.

I put it to you that YOU are the weird ones.

Since, y'know, we kind of invented them in their modern form :3

We are British. We like our spice in our foreign, funny sounding food, not our sandwiches ;D

I don't really think there's a wrong or a right way to make a sandwich...other than not putting something between two pieces of bread. XD

but but but how do the breadcrumbs stay on, then? (insert absolute no knowledge about fishfingers here, please).

Anyway, fishfingers is just in the miru-category of 'do not eat with butter', just like I wouldn't put butter into a hamburger or anything. um.
